The Seward Park Library, located on Manhattan's Lower East Side, marks its centennial on November 19 with a daylong celebration for all ages, including an author talk with New York Times reporter Jennifer 8. The Library for the Performing Arts joins with creative artists, scholars, and cultural institutions citywide to create the exhibition REVOLUTIONARY VOICES: PERFORMING ARTS IN CENTRAL & EASTERN EUROPE IN THE 1980S, on view in the Vincent Astor Gallery, and a related performing arts festival, Performing Revolution in Central and Eastern Europe.
