The 2010 edition of CONNECTIONS: A GUIDE FOR FORMERLY INCARCERATED PEOPLE TO INFORMATION SOURCES IN NEW YORK CITY is published by the Library's Correctional Services Program. The guide is free to those incarcerated in New York State prisons and local jails and to agencies that help to provide services to former inmates. Upon request, copies are sent to federal and state correctional facilities and to local city government agencies, including community-based organizations serving the prison population.
The Metropolitan Transit Authority partners with NYPL for its TRAIN OF THOUGHT series; the Library's expert staff select pithy quotations (history, philosophy, literature, science), which appear on subway car posters and the back of MetroCards.
